Will all ActionScript functions work in Giotto?

February 17, 2010

Vectorian Giotto supports complete ActionScript 2 – so all ActionScript code written for AS2 should work in Giotto without changes. Most ActionScript 1 code can be made to work in Giotto with minor changes; while ActionScript 3 code is not currently supported.

Actually I found impossible to link a text box to a variable. So this finish my hopes to use your program for make games and news bulletins. Okay that sound more “programmer” jargon, but if I cannot post the score or the level of the player then a game lose a lot of interest. Hope you fix this in a future version.

Other thing on Win XP x64 always the program complains that it cannot load the skin. Any clue?

Your tool could also work great for people who, like me, are using an alternative IDE (such as FlashDevelop) for coding and just need a friendly environment to create animated MovieClips (to further embed them).
    Unfortunately AVM1Movies don’t work on AS3.
Do you plan to implement AS3 support?

That project seems dead. :( I hope that’s not true. I’m agree with Stefano, would be great if you make it work with AS3.
