Drawing Tools – “Text” Tool
This tool is used to insert text on the Stage. Text toolbar window is closely related to this tool. At this toolbar you can change font and size of the text, select if text should be typed bold or italic, and choose alignment (left, centered, right or justified). Text toolbar is quite similar to text or formatting toolbars in text processors and you should have no difficulties using it. Select Text Tool from the Drawing Toolbar and move mouse pointer over Stage. Mouse pointer becomes crosshair. Click and drag and you will see dashed rectangle being drawn. This is a visual aid to help you determine the width of the text. When you release left mouse button, you can start typing the text. You can use 3.2.14 Free Transform Tool to change width and height of typed text, to rotate it or “mirror” it.
Example:
This tool is used to insert text shapes on the stage. Vectorian Giotto enables you to edit font family, font size, font style and color of individual characters. You can also specify text alignment – Giotto supports left, right, center and justified alignments.

Text tool works even with transformed text: you can edit text that is rotated, scaled and skewed.
